Infographic: Update to Social Media List

A while back (In July of last year actually) I wrote a post about how using a social media list would help you keep track of things. I wrote of course abut Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Blogging. What I did NOT write about at the time was Google+ (It had just arrived on the scene) as I did not have much knowledge about it and I did NOT touch on Pinterest because it did not even exist (oh the horror!).

All that of course has changed and because of that, I have an update!
As you know, I LOVE Inforgraphics.. well, Patricia Curto of Vaughan Mompreneurs shared an Infographic on Facebook the other day that encapsulates it all quite well!

The graphic touches on Facebook, Twitter, Blogging, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+ AND Pinterest – Your entire Social Media Marketing toolkit all in one beauty of an Infographic!

The list is extensive because it covers all of the popular channels, so my suggestion would be to TRY to do as many of the tasks as you can.. you will not be able to do all of them every day, if you do, let me know your results!

Client Project: Ernest & Julio Gallo – Wine Infographics

I had the pleasure of working on a project that was extremely creative, very colorful and LOADS of FUN!

I was handed an excel spreadsheet with a lot of words, was jam packed with ideas and was asked to turn said excel spreadsheet into a work of informative art!

What resulted is as follows – A series of 11 “Wine Wheel Infographics” Take a look at what wine you like and see what it “says” about you!

Can’t wait to do more projects like these!

Anything graphic and creative is worth sharing (at least from my perspective). I love this infographic on updating your resume, including your social networks (with caution) and allowing your potential employer to see your personality and creativity. Of course you still need to be professional.. I grabbed this infographic off of Mashable (my fave news outlet). Found some creative resumes online? Share them in the comments so we can all see them

Infographic: The Power of WordPress

There are a variety of “blogging” systems out there.. many people have their favourites for on reason or another, but I am (and have always been) an AVID WordPress fan. It is easy, open source (read: FREE) and is really customizable!

Recently, WordPress “grew up”, meaning, it went from a simple blogging system to a “CMS” (Content management system); interestingly enough, we have been using WordPress that way for years!

I found an infographic on “The Power of WordPress” that gives some stats and time-lines, detailing the “maturity” of the CMS and gives you a bit of a background on the powerhouse program.. Take a look at it as it will give you a bit of history on WordPress. I will be doing a small series on WordPress in the next little while, delving deeper into the versions, features and how to use it to make your website ROCK!

My Obsession..

I have discovered that I have a bit of an obsession.. for infographics. I love them and I am not quite sure what it is.. maybe the fast consumption of the information they provide, maybe because they are all VERY well designed (at least the ones I download for future use), maybe because sometimes they’re cheeky.. Honestly, I am not quite sure what it is that draws me to them, but I want to share!

My first infographic post is very apropos in that it is one on “Why” infographics are the way to go.

I would love to give credit where credit is due, however, I do not remember where this infographic came from; when I went to Google it to see if I could find a source – multiple sources showed up.
